The terms Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics and Master of Science in Business and Economics are not regulated in Sweden. A Bachelor of Science in Economics has normally studied a three-year programme at higher education level which leads to a Bachelor's degree. A Master of Science in Economics has studied for four years. To become e.g. an authorised public accountant requires a supplementary qualification, in line with special regulations, with three years' advanced work experience/traineeship and an examination of professional competence.

Supplementary education

Once you have had your education assessed and validated, you can either seek a job directly or undertake complementary education to improve your prospects of finding work.

Supplementary education is provided at higher education institutions in Sweden. They qualify for financial aid and last for 1-2 years.
