Shops in Nossebro: Food shops (Hemköp, ICA, Ericssons chark), bakery and cafés, restaurants, clothes shop, shoe shop, gaming and sweet shop, kiosk, second-hand shops for clothes and furniture, electricity shop, TV service, petrol station with car service, flower shop, chemicals shop, children’s clothes shop, hairdressers, bank, alcohol shop, Nossebro Energi (electricity company) and pharmacy.
Representatives of the employment service and social insurance come to Nossebro for pre-booked appointments to meet new arrivals taking part in the employment service’s establishment programme.
Next to the school providing teaching for years 1–9 there is a library that is open to all. Here you can borrow books in various languages.
There are nursery schools and childcare centres for children aged 1–5 years and after-school clubs for children needing supervision before and after school when their parents are busy. There is also a youth leisure centre open in the evenings for open children.
Comprehensive and upper secondary schools
Nossebro has schools for children in years 1 to 9. The municipality has been much noticed for its successful school. Upper secondary pupils travel to Trollhättan, Vara or Vårgårda.
Adults can study Swedish for Immigrants, comprehensive level education for adults and upper secondary education for adults in Nossebro. You can use portable computers and various educational aids during lessons. There is a computer room where various computer courses are taught. You can also study certain courses at a distance. Many people travel to Trollhättan every day to attend a project for persons with foreign academic qualifications at Högskolan Väst.
Health and medical care
Nossebro has a medical centre, pharmacy, ante-natal clinic and dental clinic, staffed with doctors, nurses, midwives, etc. A home for the elderly is located next to the medical centre.

Nossebro is 20 km from Vara, 40 km from Trollhättan and 80 km from Göteborg. You can travel to these places by bus. Bus timetables are available on
