Comprehensive school covers the nine years of compulsory education. In Kumla muncipality we have 13 comprehensive schools, from preschool class until year 9.
Pupils who have recently arrived to Sweden normally begin their education in an introductory class. This gives them a basic knowledge of Swedish and establishes their schooling background. Once more is known about their previous schooling, an individual plan is made for their continued education.
