To start you own business, you must:
- be approved for F-tax; and
- have a coordination number.
F-tax
To start you own business, you must be approved for F-tax. F-tax is an abbreviation of the Swedish word “företagsskatt”, which means company tax. You can apply for approval for F-tax on the Swedish Tax Agency’s website.

Coordination number
A coordination number is an identity number issued to people who do not have a Swedish personal identity number. You can apply for a coordination number from the Swedish Tax Agency at the same time as applying for approval for F-tax.
