Decision

Once the asylum investigation has been completed and the Migration Agency has made an assessment, you will receive a decision about whether your asylum application has been granted or refused.

The decision is based on your account and on the evidence you have provided in support of your account. It is further based on what the Migration Agency knows about your home country.

Meet the Migration Agency's case officer

When the Migration Agency has made a decision, a letter will be sent to you. The letter will tell you when and where you have to meet the Migration Agency's case officer.

The case officer will tell you whether your asylum application has been granted or refused. The case officer will also describe how the Migration Agency has reached this decision.

In some cases you will be invited to meet with a case officer before the Migration Agency has made a decision. In these cases the case officer will talk to you about what your rights are and what is going to happen when you receive your decision.
