Language groups in the locality
There are lots of different language groups in Svalöv municipality. This is because the municipality has received refugees for a long time. Some of the major languages are Arabic, Somali, Bosnian and Persian/Dari. The language groups vary due to immigration and emigration, of course. Associations and organisations

Compulsory schools and upper secondary schools
Svalöv municipality has comprehensive schools in Billeberga, Kågeröd, Röstånga, Svalöv and Teckomatorp. There is also a school for Years 7–9, Linåkersskolan, in Svalöv. It takes pupils from all locations in the municipality.
First language tuition is given is there is a sufficient number of pupils for the language group in question.
Svalöv municipality has two independent schools: Svalövs Montessori and Blichers friskola.
The municipality has an upper secondary school: Svalöfs Gymnasium.
Education opportunities
In Svalöv municipality, Komvux is responsible for adult education. Komvux offers Swedish for Immigrants, special adult education and adult education.
For newly arrived children aged up to 18 years, language introduction is offered. First language tuition is given is there is a sufficient number of pupils for the language group in question.
The municipality also has Fridhem folk high school. The school is politically and religiously independent, and the principal of the school is Fridhem Folk High School Association.
