Castorskolan is the municipality's school for pre-school to year 9, and is located in central Bjurholm close to the library and swimming pool.
Education opportunities
Sfi (Swedish for immigrants) is part of Komvux since the autumn of 2016, meaning that you can study levels A to D, and then basic Swedish, in the same place. We are working to be able to offer English and maths as well during the autumn. The refugee reception service is in the same building as classes are held, which means that you can easily get help from the municipality's refugee coordinator.
Health and medical care
Bjurholm's medical centre has both doctors and dentists.

There are opportunities to get help from an interpreter for contacts with public authorities. Many public authorities today publish lots of information in several languages.
Public transport
Bjurholm is located 60 km from Umeå, and the bus takes about one hour. Tabussen.nu is a portal for public transport in Västerbotten. Umeå airport is around 65 km away. It takes one hour to fly from Umeå to Stockholm.
