Norberg
Norberg is a mining municipality and forms the centre of one of the country’s oldest mining areas. The municipality comprises the chief town of Norberg together with Kärrgruvan and Karbenning and a number of other small mining towns.

The municipality is located in the northern part of Västmanland and shares borders with Fagersta, Sala and Dalarna (Smedjebacken, Hedemora and Avesta). The varied landscape is dominated by forests and agriculture and there are many lakes. 80% of the population lives in urban areas.
