Götene municipality lies along the E20 between Mariestad and Skara. National road 44 takes you from Götene to Lidköping and on to Uddevalla. The Kinnekulletåget train stops in Källby and Hällekis. From there, you can travel to both Göteborg and to Stockholm. Bus routes go via Götene, Källby, Lundsbrunn on to Lidköping, Skara and Mariestad, where you can change to another bus or train for further travel.
