Practise your Swedish with Hej svenska

Hej svenska is a language learning app that you can use to practise your Swedish. The app is free of charge and has four levels. You can also use Hej svenska on your computer.

With the language learning app Hej svenska you can learn new Swedish words and phrases and practise your Swedish grammar. The app has reading, writing and listening exercises.

Use it on a smartphone or computer – you choose!

You can use Hej svenska on your smartphone or a computer. To use Hej svenska on a smartphone, you need to download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

You need internet access to use Hej svenska regardless of whether you use a smartphone or a computer.

From beginner to advanced level

Hej svenska has four levels of difficulty: 1–4. Level 1 is for beginners. At the other levels, the exercises become more difficult.

Each level has 10 themes. There a several exercises on each theme. You can choose which themes and exercises you want to work on. If you want you can repeat the same exercise several times.

Lyssna-Listen button

The Listen button has a loudspeaker icon. Press the button to listen to an exercise.

OK button

When you have completed an exercise, press the OK button to mark it. If your answer is correct, it will be marked in green. If your answer is wrong, it will be marked in red.

Arrow button

Press the Arrow button to move on to the next exercise. You must mark the exercise before you can press the Arrow button.

Help button

The Help button has a question mark icon. When you press the Help button, the correct answer will flash up for a few seconds. You can press the button as many times as you like.
