If you have a family
Last updated: 15 4 2019
On these pages you can read more about what you should bear in mind when you and your family have been granted residence permits. You can also learn more about family reunification if your family did not arrive here together with you.
It is important that you and your family get personal identity numbers and ID cards as soon as possible. These are necessary in order for you to be able to:
- Begin the introduction programme,
- start studying SFI,
- open a bank account,
- sign a housing contract,
- apply for a home equipment loan,
- apply for various types of benefits (child benefit, housing allowance, maintenance support, parental allowance and a pension from Försäkringskassan), and
- put your child on the waiting list for preschool.
