Finding your way around the website
Informationsverige.se has different access points which are adapted to different target groups or areas of interest. Here are access points with information for:
- people who have sought or are going to seek asylum
- people who have recently been granted a residence permit
- People under 18 years of age who have arrived in Sweden without their parents.
There is also an access point with information about how Sweden works, for people who want to know more about Sweden.
Use the access point that suits you best:
In order to get an overview of what information is available on the website, you can click on the various access points and read more about the pages grouped there. This might be about various rules if you are an asylum seeker or have been granted a residence permit.
The access points usually have similar headings. For example, about jobs, housing, medical care and finances. If you want to know more about how Sweden works in any of these areas, click first on the access point that suits you and then on the heading that interests you.
The website also has pages where you can begin practising Swedish, pages where you can learn more about being a parent in Sweden, and pages about the civic orientation course and the course material "About Sweden".
Searching the website
At the top of the webpage is a picture of a magnifying glass. Click on the magnifying glass and you will be able to type a search term in the language you have selected. This will make it quicker and easier for you to find the information you are looking for.
Language and translations
The first time you visited Informationsverige.se, you were asked to choose which language you wanted to view it in. The website is continually translated into several languages. You can choose between:
- Arabic
- Dari
- English
- French
- Persian
- Russian
- Somali
- Spanish
- Swedish
- Tigrinya
- Ukrainian
If you later decide that you want to select another language, click on the little globe symbol at the top. Then select the language you want.
Information about counties and municipalities in Sweden is so far only available in Arabic, English, Somali, Swedish and Tigrinya.
If the page you go to is not available in the language you have selected, the Swedish page will be shown instead.
Links to other pages and websites
You can click on any link that you find interesting. The links will open other pages on Informationsverige.se, where you can get additional information. There are also links to other websites, such as the Migration Agency's website or 1177 Vårdguiden.
