How we work
Last updated: 17/12-2025
Informationsverige.se is intended for you if you have recently arrived in Sweden, so that you can find relevant information gathered in one place – in a language that you understand. We who work on the website are based at the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, which is a government agency. You can learn more about how we go about our work here.
We collaborate with government agencies and other organisations
We produce Informationsverige.se in collaboration with the Swedish Migration Agency, Swedish Public Employment Service and many other government agencies and organisations. By doing so we keep up with the latest news that may be relevant to write about, as well as whether we need to change any information already published.
Our articles are reviewed by experts
All content published at Informationsverige.se has been fact-checked by experts from relevant government agencies and other organisations. So, you can have confidence that the information is correct.
We do our best to write inclusive content
We do our very best to write inclusive content. By this, we mean that we try to write in such a way that you, the reader:
- can understand both the text and what action you should take once you have read it; and
- feel that the information in the text is relevant to you.
We sometimes ask people who have recently arrived in Sweden to read content and tell us what they think. We then know whether, for example, any information is missing or hard to understand.
Questions and answers
We choose the languages we translate into based on statistics from the Swedish Migration Agency. These statistics show us which languages are most commonly spoken among asylum seekers and new arrivals in Sweden.
Informationsverige.se is updated on an ongoing basis. Once we have a completed text in Swedish and it has been reviewed by an external expert, we order translations. These are then published on the website.
