Accessibility

You have the right to access content at Informationsverige.se in a way that suits your personal circumstances. This is called accessibility. We regularly review and test content to see how accessible it is. Here you can read our conclusions and find out what to do if you feel that the website is not adequately accessible.
How accessible is the website?
Informationsverige.se is partly in compliance with the Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Services. This means that the website’s technical functionality largely meets statutory requirements, although there are some deficiencies.
Inaccessible content
The following accessibility deficiencies have been identified at Informationsverige.se:
- The website’s reading aloud function is not available in Somali and Tigrinya. This deficiency cannot be rectified as the service provider does not support these languages.
- The browser Internet Explorer cannot be used with full functionality on the website. This deficiency cannot be rectified as Internet Explorer no longer receives updates.
- Visitors to the website who use a screen reader cannot hear the search function’s page suggestions.
- Some images on the website do not have alt text, the descriptive photo captions that are read aloud to screen reader users.
As the adaptation of certain content from external stakeholders would impose a disproportionate burden, we apply the exception under Section 12 of the Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Services. Specifically, it would take far too long to adapt the content for accessibility.
We assess the burden of adapting the following content to be disproportionate:
- PDF files prepared by external stakeholders that fall short of accessibility standards.
- Videos produced by external stakeholders that fall short of accessibility standards.
